On average how long does it take you to build a program? How long did it take to code Interstate? Also, do you have any tips to help me work faster?

It’s kind of hard to say as I build all sorts of applications. It usually takes me a couple of days to get a rough prototype of an application out and then 1-2 months to get a fully working app ready.

When it comes to Interstate, we began building a prototype of the site in mid-June and we’ve developed 2 full versions of the site since then, so I’d say it’s taken us about 1 or 2 months of solid development to get us to the stage we’re at now.

The way I prefer to develop is a way that I’m sure most other developers would frown upon as I don’t really spend much (if any) time at all planning. I usually just get stuck in to my work as I feel it let’s me be a lot more creative and I usually create something that’s even better than I originally thought it would be when I work like this. I think this is the best way to work for someone like me but I know a lot of other developers wouldn’t be able to work this way efficiently.
